Merry Christmas

I spent last night wrapping pressies for mum.

Ching, ching, ching, ching -  do hear that sparkling tintinnabulation? Rudolph and his velveteen band of merry deer are just drawing away; whilst you've all  been sleeping, Santa came calling!

My home is soaked in Diptyque's Myrrhe, the mistletoe is hanging  and  today I hope for all of  us, gemutlichkeit, that warming  feeling, roughly translated as  “a cheerful mood, peace of mind, belonging and cosiness”.
I do think that belonging whether it be Church, blogs or dungeon culture (whatever tickles one's manacles) is the primal fire in the darkness that draws us all close.

I have been sitting at this tablecloth since I was three years of age.

Cire Trudon candles a burning bright.

Smythson Mara clutch and a 20 year old dress.

I wore this to my neighbour's annual  festive bash

Tiffany Rose, thank you so much, after 11 months it has emerged triumphant from its box!

Heartfelt good wishes to all of you,
I know that you are busy with friends and family today,  so no further adieu,  Merry Christmas from me to you!
Who is joining me for bubbles with the Queen's speech?

  1. Merry Chrismas, Tabitha, from snowy Canada. My British mom ensured no Christmas was complete without everything stopping to listen to the Queen's speech. Wishing you, your mom, and family a Happy Christmas and All the Best for 2014.

    1. Tricia, Merry Christmas to you too, a little dash of snow would have been lovely to wake up to but it's just stormy outside.

    3. Oh my goodness Tabs, I have to endure this same nonsense from 'Estella'. OK, forget what I said about the dress and I'll amend my earlier verdict on the uber-trendy Kate Spade coat to: "I think it's the bees knees!"

Have you read John Taylor's autobiography? Just finished it, was surprisingly good, rather touched. He lives in LA now. Recommended.
